Do not get fooled by the convenient location of this hotel - this is the only good thing about it. I stayed there for 4 nights during the week. The hotel is old and not well kept. There was not a single staff member available at any time during my stay. On the final night of my stay I entered... more

Our experience was OK, but next time I'm in the area, I'll try a different hotel. In short: The good: - The location was perfect (love Brookline) - The inn looks charming and is generally clean - Low price for the neighborhood - Free wi-fi The bad: - Our bed was as hard as the floor, the blankets were thin,... more

This and the Samuel Sewall Inn are very similar as they are both bed and breakfasts in Brookline and are only a block or so apart and conveniently located a block or two from the metro stop. I stayed at them both in May and prefer this one because our room had an air conditioner, nice TV, and there was... more

Our second trip to the Longwood Inn found it pretty much frozen in time, everything the same as our stay two years ago. Nice place to stay, great kitchen facilities, close to subway, grocery stores, etc. Only downside is sloppy management, they pretty much ignore e-mails and make lots of little mistakes in reservations, double check your bills to make... more

Tlhis Inn has all the charm and character expected of a small New England town right in the Big City. Clean, comfortable accommodations and a friendly, helpful staff gives your stay a family atmosphere. People not familiar with Inns must understand the concept of an Inn to appreciate the Longwood. Close proximity to T and many restaurants, uniques shops and... more

The Longwood Inn is very well located for visits to the hospitals and medical school and the small colleges nearby. It provides extremely convenient access to the Green Line of the MTA, and is also a decent walk to the Museum of Fine Arts. The community kitchen is a nice idea, but the capacity is so small that one small... more

the Longwood Inn is a fantastic place to stay. Imagine! Free parking and just blocks from mass transit. There is a shared kitchen with high-end appliances and room furnishings were updated. Otherwise, this is a lovely old mansion. more

I had a very nice stay here while attending a conference in Brookline (Boston). The Longwood Inn is a Victorian House that has been renovated but still has kept its charm. My room was small but very nicely laid out and comfortable, with new bedding, new LCD screen tv with cable, new bathroom, AC, and free wireless. My bathroom was... more

We really enjoyed the updated fully stocked kitchen to make dinner with Trader Joes down the block. The park in the back was an added bonus. Our rooms were clean with flat-screen TV and private bath. You can also eat in the dining room and watch TV in the living room. We felt right at home. more
