I recently stayed at the Samuel Sewell Inn for one night. For me, it was a perfect, choice, a lovely quiant place situated in a very nice area of Boston. A little gem. A change from staying in large impersonal hotels... I enjoyed the little extras like coffee, great newspapers to read, and things to nibble on all day. help... more

I chose this place because I had bedandbreakfast.com gift certificates and they accept them. Overall, the place is very clean and could not be more convenient to the "C" train of the Green line at 1 block from the B&B (15 mins to Govt Center). The room we stayed in (#3) is on the ground floor and is very spacious... more

I had to run to Boston from Hopkinton, and The Samuel Sewall Inn was the perfect place to stay. It's a snap to take the trolley to and from Boston. The inn is filled with warmth and fun. The all day treats made me want to hang around the inn all day. The breakfasts are fun and delicious...apple cinnamon cheddar... more

I stayed here for Friday and Saturday nights while visiting a friend and her family in Brookline. I can't speak to the convenience of the inn to Boston, because I didn't do any site seeing there. But the inn itself is very cozy. I had one of the rooms on the top floor. The bed was comfortable, and the decoration... more

This is a great place to stay when visiting the Boston area. It's well run, beautifully appointed, quiet, accommodating and comfortable. Reasonable prices too. Wonderful attention to guests ensures that I will always recommend and come back to stay. more

The Inn is well located for getting the underground into Boston. There are good restaurants within walking distance so a car is not needed. You can get all the way to the INN from the airport on the underground, but there is one change needed. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was taken in the entrance hall... more

Found this place online and read all the great reviews on Trip Advisor, so decided to give it a try. When all the halfway respectable hotels were going for $400-$500 a night, The Samuel Sewall was half that with just as much (and in some cases twice as much) character. Absolutely charming, the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable; ours... more

Because Boston hotels were so expensive when we wanted to take our 1st anniversary trip, we decided to try a bed & breakfast. My husband and I were both unsure what to expect, but if all b&b's are this great we will travel this way more often! Location: The b&b is located in Brookline, a great suburb of Boston where... more

As I stepped into the Sewall Inn away from the familiar din of cars, sirens, and construction Boston offers as daily soundtrack, I felt as Lucy must have felt as she crossed the threshold of the wardrobe into that wonderous, otherworldly land of Narnia. The first room you enter is a combination dining/sitting room fresh out of an Austen novel.... more

We stayed at the Sewall Inn for one night while in Boston while visiting and seeing a show at the Wang Theater (Michael Buble!!)before heading to the North Shore. We were travelling with friends and they stayed at the sister Inn the Bertram Inn across the street. I have to say that when I called to reserve the room the... more
