The photos on the Dunning Mills web site make it look like a nice place...photos are not like the real place! There was a horrible smoke, mildew and roach spray smell in the rooms. I dont know where to start. This property is sort of a "catch all" when all of the nicer "long Term " hotels are full or too expensive. This works out well for the "management" who title themselves this ...... they own the place folks! We stayed at Dunning Mills Inn for two months while our house was being built. We really enjoyed the park like setting and felt very comfortable. Front desk and housekeepers were very friendly and the room eventhough studio with kitchen was smaller that a full suite was big enough for three of us. Room smoke smell was so bad you got a headache being in there. The price quoted on the phone was not the price available when you registered. They should have honored the price quoted, but did not and would not. The rooms are dated. more

My husband, son and I stayed at Dunning Mills from June until August of 2005. We stayed here while searching for a new home in Fredericksburg. The staff made us feel right at home. The Dunnings Mill Inn proclaims itself as an "All-Suites" property with full kitchen facilities, pots, pans, cable tv etc. Upon giving my room the "once over" I found this property to be extremely "inadequate".
