What a dump. Don’t even think about staying here. Very dated facility, 1960s. Three story building with elevator. Poor lighting in room. Lobby, elevator and hallways had unpleasant odor. Not very welcome feeling when walking in the door at 2:30am. Long flight from Dallas, TX. No Internet except maybe in lobby using their computers. Cold and unpleasant and I was there in October. I would hate to think how miserable it would be in January at -40 below. What really ticked me off was when I asked to have a light replaced in the fixture over the bed, the facility person did it and tracked mud all over the bedspread. He got right on the bed in muddy shoes to change the blub and didn’t even clean up. Ugh. I moved the next day to the Spring Hill Suites in downtown Fairbanks. That was a huge change for the better to a Marriott property in a great location in the center of town. Only 25 minute drive to the base from Fairbanks.
