Nice place and location, but you do need a car to get about although the lodge does offer a free limited shuttle to downtown and another two locations in the area. a really nice property...on a beautiful river...peaceful...nice restaruarants and a few shops near by. It was our first night in AK this trip and the summer soltice...so it was a great visit. We got on the railroad the next day. we loved it htere. more

Although I was travelling solo I was given a large room with 2 queen beds and a great view of the Chena River (which I requested in advance). The bar food was good and inexpensive. There is a hotel shuttle which if free can take you wherever you need to go. more

The Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is a couple minutes from the Airport, on the banks of the Chena River.
