Although I was travelling solo I was given a large room with 2 queen beds and a great view of the Chena River (which I requested in advance). The bar food was good and inexpensive. There is a hotel shuttle which if free can take you wherever you need to go. more

The Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is a couple minutes from the Airport, on the banks of the Chena River. It has ample free parking, with plug-ins at every parking spot for plugging the car in during the winter months to keep the block from freezing. It's easy to get to. The hotel itself is very nice. The foyer/check in area... more

Stayed here as part of a conference hosted at the hotel. The hotel's location more or less right across the highway from the Fairbanks Int'l Airport made its location ideal for the conference we were participating in. As a guest, I was impressed by the hotel in that I had a deluxe room that was about as big as a... more

There is nothing really wrong with this hotel, it's just that it could be better. The front desk (for check in & out, requests for information) was slow and not too savy and the meeting room we used was either too cold or too hot. The decor in rooms and public areas is passable, but you'd think that with all... more

We spent two nights here, using Fairbanks as our base to travel to/from Barrow on a day trip. The hotel is quite close to the airport, probably only a 5-minute drive. It rained on both our nights here, which was a shame because one of the restaurants had an outdoor deck along the banks of the Chena River that we... more

We stayed at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge as part of a Princess cruise/land tour. The Princess cruise was excellent and everything you would expect from Princess. The Princess Riverside Lodge was a huge disappointment. While the hotel is on a river, it is unlikely that you would know it if they did not tell you. Only one restaurant and... more

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our Princess Landtour/cruise. Room was fine but overlooked the car park. We had read in other reviews that Princess customers were given the best rooms but this obviously isn't the case as there are nicer rooms overlooking the river. Didn't like the buffet breakfast in Edgewater Restaurant. There wasn't much... more

We stayed here at the start of a Princess Cruises Landtour. The hotel is in a good position on the river. There is an outside terrace where you can sit and have a drink and look at the view. Our room was comfortable enough but was fairly dark with only a view of a tree. Others in our party had... more

During the winter this hotel is often available at very low prices. Not only are the prices low, one can request and be given a 3rd floor room overlooking the Chena River. Everything in my room was clean, and the carpet and bedding appeared to be new. The bathroom is fine (I really don't understand why one reviewer said the... more
