During the winter this hotel is often available at very low prices. Not only are the prices low, one can request and be given a 3rd floor room overlooking the Chena River. Everything in my room was clean, and the carpet and bedding appeared to be new. The bathroom is fine (I really don't understand why one reviewer said the... more

The Princess is a nice hotel - and the food is excellent! The rooms need to be updated - the bedding, decor and bathroom is very outdated. The rest of the hotel is very nice and decorated well - it has a very Alaskan feel! The beds are not very good - they are really worn and need to be... more

My daughter and I stayed at the Princess on the night of March 13th. We were booked there by Alaska Airlines after a cancellation of a flight . We loved this hotel!! It is beautiful!! The decor is awesome, there are so many comfy chairs and couches, nice fireplaces, and little nooks for reading or visiting with friends. The staff was very... more

In seventeen years of traveling in Alaska for conferences and meetings, I have never been more disappointed in a hotel stay. First of all, the location is a very expensive cab ride to every shop, restaurant or attraction in town. It cost $6 each way to go a mile down the road to a grocery store. I was glad I... more

Beautiful property and great location on the Chena River in Fairbanks. Clean and quiet room with plenty to do in and around the lodge. On site restaurant offered a quick and easy option for dining. Food was above average to very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again. Rates are very reasonable as well. more

I was attending a conference being hosted at the hotel and therefore I stayed there. My first impression of the hotel was the set of big double doors that do not open automatically. Upon checking in the front desk person told me the boxes I sent were there and to call any time for delivery to my room or the... more

We had a nice stay at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. Here is our rundown... Rooms: The rooms were sufficient -- comfortable enough and supplied with all necessary amenities. Beds were comfortable and views (especially rooms looking out onto the river) were very nice. No problems in terms of noise in the hallways at night or anything. Overall the rooms... more

We arrived here after a *really* long day of traveling. It was 11:30pm and the sun was shining! Also, it was 80 degrees! In Alaska! Now that was a pleasant surprise. I really liked this hotel. It's right on the river, and away from Fairbanks, so it's quiet and serene. Our room had a great view of the river and... more

We spent two nights here while waiting for rooms to open up at the Pike Lodge next door. It was the beginning of a marvelous land/cruise tour of Alaska with our two twelve year-old grandchildren. Their reaction best describes our accommodations when they commented that it "looks just like The Great Wolf Lodge, only the real thing". It was a... more
