We had read all the negative reviews about this inn and found the exact opposite. This is a rustic place and if you enjoy private lodging the old route 66 style and not the chains you will enjoy this inn. This is a fun Alaska lodge style experience. The front desk service was great upon check in/check out.The food was great !... more
The room had a moldy stench and the shower consisted of a mere dripping of water drops that were either ice cold or boiling hot. The musty atmosphere is not good for someone who has breathing problems. It was way overpriced considering the lack of quality. more
This older facility in Fairbanks, Alaska is partially closed in the winter after the bus tours leave town. The restaurant and lounge, which were quaint, are shut down in the winter. We booked here because of a $60 deal advertised, and as weather is bad in the dark winters of the interior of Alaska, we opted to stay here and... more

Stay here only f you want to stay in a dump run by an owner who doesn't care about his guests stay at Capt Bartlett. We just got back from a trip where we stayed for one night -- which was one night too long. The place is dirty and run down and unsafe. more

Okay...it isn't beautiful and yes....security is an issue but....heck, I went to Alaska to see the outdoors and didn't expect to find 5 star accomodations. It was clean and one of the few hotels with... more
I recently stayed 2 nights at the Captain Bartlett Inn. The place reminded me of one of the aged motels along Route 66 in the lower 48. The front desk staff was cooly indifferent; I had to request directions to my room when I arrived and a copy of my receipt when I departed. They also acted like they were... more
This hotel was ok. I got a "deal" online, but for what the hotel was, even the deal was way too much. When you walk in, you are assaulted with smoke. The bar is right at the entrance, and everything smells like smoke in the lobby. There were workers just standing around talking, you didn't really know they were even... more
Am besten gefiel mir die urige Bar. Ein schräger gemütlicher Saloon ganz in dicken Holzbalken gehalten. Auch die angebotenen Speisen... more
