If you are looking for a place to stay in Crown Heights, this is it. A charming little hideaway with good service and character. My room upstairs was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Heat was not skimped on, felt cozy all night. Breakfast was ample, plenty of cereal, toast, fruit, juice and always a pastry. The owner David was quite helpful... More

We travelled for a long 15 hour flight from SA on a steep RAND budget. I must be honest at the price we paid, I did not expect much.... but we were genuinly, pleasantly surprised. Sterling is a peaceful, home away from home run by a really great family. Loved the fresh fruit and yoghurt every breakfast time, as well... More

Traveled to Brooklyn to visit my daughter. Loved this homey place near her and a subway stop. Will stay here again for sure. We were in the basesment room - lots of space, comfy bed, and good climate control. A little noisy overhead at around 8 a.m. , but, hey! It's the basement!

We travelled to Brooklyn to visit our daughter, to see her music performances, to see some sights, and do some shopping. Sterling B&B was conveniently located near subway lines that connected us to Brooklyn and to Manhattan. The atmosphere was relaxed, the breakfasts great. The owner/operator was friendly, helpful, not intrusive. We have talked about staying here again, as it... More

I've been reading the reviews of guests who have stayed at Sterling Bed and Breakfast. I would suggest that you stay in the Cottage or the Arches. We had 3 nights in the Parlor, which was set up with 2 sofas to sleep on. The shared bath was up steep stairs to the third floor. The last 2 nights were... More

This was our first time at Sterling Bed and Breakfast and most likely not our last. It's a great location for visiting family in the Crown Heights and Prospect Heights area. The brownstone is very homey, clean and comfortable with lots of extra touches, including a welcoming and friendly owner. Close to lots of great restaurants and near the Bklyn... More

This bed and breakfast is situated in a transitional neighborhood, and run by a friendly family (we did not meet the lady of the house). The cottage in the rear of the property is tiny, with a private bath and a comfortable bed. We had some cleanliness issues. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The subway is accessible, several blocks away.... More

I go to New York a couple of times a year and spend a lot of time in brooklyn, since that is where my son lives. Since i am NOT a B&B kind of person i hesitated in staying here, even though my son had recommended it to me multiple times. I cannot say enough great things about this place.... More

What a find! Been to Brooklyn three times in the past year..finally found a spot to call "home away from home." This is our go to place when returning to Brooklyn. We stayed in the Arches Room which is very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. DianneT, TerryQ
