We had the pleasure of being one of the first guests at Artists Point Suites in Grand Marais, on the shores of Lake Superior. This is a new small (only 2 suites) vacation rental.
What a great location. The rooms were cozy, comfortable and truly unique. We enjoyed the private beach we could walk to Artist Point one direction and walk a block to town the other.
The town was busy with activity and we had a great time shopping art, clothing and eating. Right next door is Sydney’s Custard shop what a late night treat!

With no TV or phones we found our selves far removed from our daily grind.
(Internet hook up was available and our cell phones did work)
There is plenty to due with the fun shops restaurants bars and music all this with the wilderness in your back yard. I would like to take a float plane next summer and we plan on another visit this winter to due some skiing.
