TrailCenter Lodge was a great place to eat and stay! Cabins were clean and neat. Fishing was excellent off the dock. Food was mouth watering each meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Wish I could have stayed longer!

My fiance and I visited Trail Center Lodge about a week ago for dinner. We bellied up to the bar on stools carved from the trunks of trees and immediately had smiles on our faces. The interior of the place has a very "log cabin" feel to it and we both appreciated the Northwoods decor. It was Saturday night and...

What a treat. Visited the area with family. Trail center was highly recommended. So we drove up from grand marais. The atmosphere is classic, the food was wonderful. Try the open faced beef sand which. My brother raved about it. Our waitress was Sue. A 20 year veteran. Delightful. Knew her stuff and made out day

Specific recommendations: The Canoe, great burger with fries and an old-fashioned malt; The Fungus, a portabella mushroom sandwich; ribs on Sunday night, my personal favorite.
Soups are good. Salads, especially...

The serving staff is so speedy! You could tell this place has been there many, many years and has the flavor...

In fact the best place to eat on the Gunflint Trail, unless you go 25 miles further to the Gunflint Lodge, over priced & real iffy on the food depending on when you go. Trail Center's cabins are so comfortable, no TV's or phones but if you need those on the Gunflint,...

Initially intended as a fall-color watching trip along the north shore of Lake Superior, we missed this fall's early color peak, but it still ended up a nice weekend getaway for October.
The lodge is one of the...
