My hubby & I wanted to use our RV for the first time up in the northwoods of MN. We wanted to be sure to stay somewhere with facilities just incase something went wrong with our camper. Love the Gunflint Trail area and enjoyed our stay at this campground! Though the area is beautiful and many like to rough-it, we enjoyed the best of both worlds, having the luxury of an on-site store with many groceries, bait, candy, gifts/clothing, and the option to get a pizza or ice cream cone or burger. On the south shore of Gunflint Lake this resort has something for everyone and every budget. Tent camping, RV, Camper Cabins, Cottages, A-Frames. The Baker's and crew make everyone feel welcome and they go out of their way to accommodate. Gunflint Pines Resort (not to be confused with the uppity Gunflint Lodge) is a great family run place with cabins on Gunflint Lake. Very friendly and beautiful setting. more
