What sounded like a nice campground in actuality, was not.
It hurts to write a bad review about Montana, since my roots go deep into that state. But, this campground's advertisement is inflated.
The campground is just off the freeway, bordered on one side by busy I 90 and on the adjacent side by a busy truck stop. There are no trees, or meaningful shade. No privacy.
They advertised wireless internet. Many of us depend upon that mode for communication, bill paying, checking up on family and so on. It turns out there was a wireless signal, but you cannot access it. The 'managers' told me that many of the nearby truckers were accessing the campground's internet, so the owner put a block on it. Now no-one can access it.
Finally, the 'managers' were much less than friendly.
Overall, I'd recommend going into the town of Deer Lodge and following the signs to the other campground. It is clearly listed on a sign in the center of...
