I had read previous reviews and thought that since it was close to the convention center and the weather was suppose to be bad -- I thought why not give it a chance. When I first walked into the hotel - I thought well this might not be so bad. The room: They smelled awful – well especially ours …... more

My daughter-in-law and I stayed at this hotel in March 2009 for a women's conference with her church group . I was very impressed with the hotel to say the least. My family stayed at River Terrace last year and was highly disappointed in that hotel. I was apprehensive about staying at Glenstone after last year's experience but I can... more

This was our go-to stop for Gatlinburg lodging. We had stayed in the Glenstone every year for about six years in a row. Our last stay was about five years ago, so naturally this was our first selection in lodging after a five year hiatus. This turned out to be a huge mistake! The blankets on the beds had cigarette... more

When we first arrived we discovered that the Lobby and Pool appeared to be newly decorated as the pictures show. Then as we drove around back to park we realized it was an old motel with outside rooms with just a few rooms available inside. We were traveling with an older colleague who was concerned about security so we asked... more

This was our second time staying at the Glenstone. The room was good and kept clean by the staff. The pool was warm and very nice. Popular as well! You can't miss having breakfast at the little restaurant in the lobby. Fresh omlets and waffles made while you wait along with the great buffet..... Nice! We'll be staying for a... more

This hotel is wonderful for children. The pool area is great and they also give the kids balls and clubs to play put-put around the pool. They breakfast is inexpensive and good. The rooms were clean. We walked everywhere from the hotel. It is in the middle of everything. The hotel is uphill. So, after walking around Gatlinburg all evening... more

Glenstone Lodge turned out to be all that it described itself to be. Loved the 5-story glass-enclosed elevator which was always prompt and working. Was treated very well even though my stay was only 2 nights. Room was very clean and all was like I had just arrived , with everything in its place after housekeeping had done their jobs.... more

I was mainly unhappy with not getting what I booked. I booked one kingsize bed poolside and one kingsize bed with fireplace. I got neither. I was told that each room had a coffeepot and a refrigerator. They had a coffeepot, but no refrigerator. The hotel is up a long hill from the action. My husband and I could not... more

I had a continuing education conference to go to at the hotel. We were given a room on the first floor facing the pool- NOT ideal. It was so humid the carpet felt wet and there was mold on the wall. At midnight, we had to ask some screaming children in the pool to be quiet, even though the pool... more
