Immediately upon entering the room, overwhelming smell of urine. We opened the window and turned on the cooling unit. By the time we returned from downtown, the smell had lightened, but still strong. This was, perhaps, the worst hotel I've stayed at in at least ten years. Our "no smoking" room reeked of odor and there were ashes in the carpet and the bathroom floor. Stayed 2 nights and the location surely can't be beat. BUT you get what you pay for. We stayed two nights. The room was very small, but adequate. The drain stop in the bathroom was not installed, just lying in the tub. They didn't have any of the little "extras" like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. in the room. The "continental breakfast" consists of plain bagels, one kind of mini muffin, and cereal. The fact is, this is a Microtel, a 2-star hotel. If you're expecting the Ritz or the amenities of a 3 or 4-star hotel, you'll be sorely disappointed. My husband and I stayed 4 nights here and we probably would try somewhere else next time. We had a 2-room suite and it was nice to have the extra room, but the TV in the room with the sofa didn't get good reception. The bathrooms weren't very clean and the washcloths were badly stained. The rooms are very smalls!!! and the smell!!! ufff, they call complementary breakfast and what they only have is some donuts and terrible muffins, the price is to high for this hotel!!! It was a nightmare!!! My suggestion is DO NOT GO TO MICROTEL INN!!!! more

We arrived at the Micotel on Dec. 30th and stayed through Jan 2. The hotel has a great location, it set directly behind space needle. Location is why we stayed here.
