When we first arrived at the hotel, I was shocked to find out that we had to pay to park. I have stayed in many nice hotels, but I've never been charged to park there. I always ask for a room away from the elevator to minimize hallway noise. At check-in this was no problem. Our room (7th floor) was recently renovated, very spacious with a very comfortable king bed. My time at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown was one of the best stays I have encountered. We stayed for a weekend getaway. We were welcomed with such enthusiam. The staff was excellent, for a tip ask for Jay, Nikki, or Tom. They will provide the best service around!! ENJOY!! more

Hotel was just ok. No effort made to make it "nice". Staff were hospitable but no above and beyond by any means. Construction work somewhere started as early as 7am. Just your average older hotel. more
