We were very comfortable at this Sopa Lodge, largely due to the very attentive and genuine service we received. Our room was comfortable, not flashy. Stayed for one night in July as part of an organized safari tour. The location was fantastic - right in the middle of the park with animals all around. We watched an elephant munching on a tree from our balcony in the evening and some antelope in the morning. Other people in our group heard some lions roaring at night!... more

The lodge is located within the Tarangire National Park. The rooms are large and clean. Before going there I had read some comments that the rooms were not so clean. The Tarangire Sopa Lodge was the first stop on our Tanzanian safari. The rooms themselves have furniture that is a bit dated, but they are very comfortable and quite spacious. Spacious Lodge with all facilities. Well appointed and maintained accomodation throughout. Excellent location with great views from the terrace, dining hall and pool areas.
