We stayed at this lovely gem for four nights and extended to seven because we couldn’t tear ourselves away from it. This hotel has the perfect swimming pool – private, clean and with a waiter service at the touch of a bell like olden times. We could scarcely leave it. We were spoiled with attention that was always friendly, smiling... more

We arrived at Raheem Residency tired and exhausted with the heat. What a treat to be greeted on check-in with lovely cooling towels and heavenly fruit juice! We stayed in the Marriage hall rooms for three nights and contrary to the other reviews both rooms were spotless and we certainly did not experience any smell of dampness at all. It... more

My husband and I booked in for 3 nights at this hotel and left after 2. We had chosen it based on a review in the Rough Guide to Kerala and initially were impressed with the place which has been tastefully restored. We stayed in Begum's Nook which is a lovely room - spacious, beautiful furniture with a walk in... more

Not sure what the fuss is about, this is an extremely expensive hotel relative to what you can get in the town, or in the resorts (which have far better beaches). Though it is on beach road, you will find that this is a busy public beach with litter, wild dogs, fishermen, dog & human excrement, traders and so on.... more

This hotel has got everything right from the rooms to the staff and the facilities. It is small and personal so if you are looking for a big resort feel with lots of space it's not for you but it appears to be the only hotel of any standing on the beach and within easy walking distance of the town.... more

I only wished we could have stayed longer. This hotel was a highlight of travel in India. It has been beautifully restored and renovated, and the result is a sophisticated and unique hotel. Our room was spacious, decorated with antiques and local furniture. It was clean with no bugs and no damp, and the bathroom had an excellent, full pressure,... more

Usually I always take a look at TripAdvisor before making a reservation somewhere. When we were staying in Kerala, I didn't have that luxury, so after looking at Lonely Planet (it's older edition) I decided to book a room at Raheem. On the surface, the room looked ok, but after closer insepction, there were things broken in the bathroom (one... more

We stayed one night at this hotel to treat ourselves before heading off on a houseboat for a 24hr overnight trip. As the hotel had a pool we thought we would relax in the sun and be all refreshed for the next day. First of all the pool was under maintenance which was not stated on the website. The room... more

It's taken me 6 months to get around to writing this review, but I think that a point worth pointing out for the following reasons:- We are fortunate enough to travel a lot to numerous destinations, and often I look back on the year and have very few memories of where I've been - and far too often I struggle... more

We stayed at Raheem Residency for 4 nights at the end of March/beginning of April, with an extra night, which they arranged for us, on a houseboat on the backwaters at Alleppey. The hotel is in a great location, right opposite Alleppey beach, which, although not suitable for bathing, is a brilliant place to watch the locals at sunset, when... more
