Eka Purnama only has 4 bamboo huts in lovely hillside gardens overlooking a wide expanse of beach, headland and ocean. I looked around many more 'sterile' expensive modern places, too-dank and crumbly ones, too high above the beach ones... then felt perfectly happy the minute I walked in to Eka Purnama. The owner and staff were lovely, and it being low season they had some time to chat... the cafe is airy and serves much better food than the 'fancy' restaurant down the road. No pool, but a beach with good snorkelling is seconds away, and sitting on my private, quiet balcony watching the boats come in like a horde of sea-butterflies in the morning was delightful. There's sqat all too do in the Amed area anyway apart from snorkelling and reading... and this was the perfect location.
I have some photos, next time I'm in a high-speed place I'll post them!
