Our group of parents, 2 kids and a grandma stayed in Life in Amed for 6 nights in June 2009, and it was a great holiday! We all slept in one cottage/villa. For the first 3 nights we had Ocean View Cottage, which is their smallest room type (the bigger ones were fully booked). For the last 3 nights we... more

This is the type of place you don't want to leave. It is peaceful and exemplary of what Bali's village life is like. Here you get pampered, treated like family while enjoying a yet discovered piece of Bali. The bungalows are perfect especially if you are a couple traveling with 1 or 2 children. The bathrooms have a beautiful outdoor... more

Having never been to Amed on 4 previous trips to Bali, we thought it about time. After booking for 4 days, we stayed for 10. The people of Lean and the staff of Life in Amed made this our best experience yet. The property has 3 styles of accommodation, and we ended up having evenings in all 3. All accommodate... more

Fantastic clean room, amazing staff, overall great experience! We stayed here last year and this year. We asked for a specific fish meal and the nice lady from the restaurant went to the market and bought exactly what we wanted! The service is very personal and very good. I would recommend this hotel and I will go back again! All... more

We - couple and 5 yr old daughter - stayed at Life in Amed for 3 nights in April. We loved everything about our stay there. Our bungalow was set back from the beach - next to the pool - and perfect. Great size - big comfy bed with adequate closet space and a nice loft with 2 single beds.... more

Planning our trip we were trying to choose between Life in Amed and Dancing Dragon Cottages. After staying at Life in Amed and visiting Dancing Dragon, we got a sense of the major differences between the 2 and I wish I had known when booking that the hotels are so different. The staff at Life in Amed is what made... more

Our visit to Amed was absolutely heavenly and our stay at Life in Amed really contributed to our blissful experience. We stayed a total of two nights in early January and booked the Sari Villa and the Ocean view Cottage. The property itself was small, intimate and cozy, but the villa and cottage provided lots of space - more than... more

This was our first hotel on our first trip to Bali. The hotel itself is very beautiful. It is clean, the swimming pool is in a pretty garden with flowers. The only problem is that the staff seems uninterested in their jobs. One example was when we asked about a fishing trip, which was agreed for the next morning at... more

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a truly wonderful time. Room - A lil dark, but otherwise no complaints. There is a wonderful open air shower! People - The staff there were ever so helpful and polite. Even the locals were friendly and greeted you with hello's and smiles. Food - As it was a fishing village, there isn't... more
