We stayed at the Puri Rai for 4 days. The property is beautiful. They have 3 swimming pools. All surrounded by beautiful statues. Our room was located right by one of the pools. It had a front and a back patio. The back patio had a beautiful wooden bench & coffee table. The whole back opened. The door was a just shutters. I rated this hotel average because it seems to have been the best one in Padang Bai. For Orange County Standards the room condition would have been a dump. The sheets had stains. The towels were worse than my cleaning rags and the bathrooms were filthy. The balinese are the nicest people. Very friendly and helpful, but after spending 3 weeks there, I realized that they do not know how to take care of their properties and definately do no know how to clean a bathroom. The bathrooms at this property were dirty. And the windows in the room were smeared with fingerprints.
I guess if you can not take these conditions, do not go to Bali. The same problem exists... more
