Stayed there for 10 nights in October 2008. Unfortunately, all deluxe rooms were already booked. The standard room was quite cramped with the large wooden posterbed - matress was okay though. The bathroom was quite old, and it was impossible to get a nice water temperature for the shower (first cold, then 30 secs okay, then scalding hot). Staff were... more

Nice quite Bali Hotel set in lovely gardens, straight across road to beach at Legina, nice private small pool with swim up bar, rooms good size (bed a bit hard) but quite dark, not good for reading in bed? Odd mosquito, eat at hotel restaurant as food very good and much cheaper than alot of the big ones along the... more

I spent 5 nights at the Maharta and was not happy. I had booked a standard room for $ 40/night only to find myself in a dark and unpleasant room. For an additional $15/night I upgraded to the "luxury rooms", eventhough there was nothing luxurious about it. For $ 60/night I would expect a far more decent place, the hotel... more

we were booked to stay here for seven nights, after spending 10 nights a the Kumala pantai which we could not fault, we had a rude awakening when we were shown our rooms. They were very small with a masive bed taking up most the room we could hardly fit our surf boards in the doorway, the beds were uncomfortable,... more

Great hotel for mature travellers wanting a quiet, clean, cheap hotel close to everything. I don't think it is a place for families or children. Great home away from homr for extended stay. more

We stayed at the Maharta for 12 nights in May 2007. We booked the deluxe rooms. Although the rooms were small, we had an outstanding view of the ocean from our balcony. The room was always quickly & thoroughly cleaned, towels were fresh and linen was crisp. The bed was huge and we slept babies everynight. The swim up pool... more

We booked a deluxe room in this hotel for the first two nights of our holiday in Bali, as the reviews looked ok. Our room was small but had a huge traditional balinese wood carved bed, which looked lovely but appeared to have two mattresses pushed together which made for a bad nights sleep... Hotel staff were friendly and helpful,... more

Nestled between the Niksoma and Puri Raja, this is a Balinese style hotel offering standard and deluxe rooms at approx. 300,000rp and 400,000rp respectively. We found the standard rooms a bit shabby and musty, so opted for the deluxe. The deluxe rooms have a 4 poster bed with mosquito net and tiled bathroom similar to those at the Intercontinental. The... more
