Travelled to Kuramathi on our honeymoon from 10th June to 20th June 2009. We stayed on HB basis. It was a long trip from west of Ireland approx 25 hours from door to door as they say. We booked with escape2 through our local travel agent which were excellent( Cheers James/Fidelma). We flew with Qatar Airways which have to be... more

Food and Drink:- Buffet food or 5 star prices for 3.5 star hotel rests, e.g Laguna Grill steak $45, dry chicken thighs $29, same side dishes with all, view nice service too long. Thai and Indian rests are better but are overpriced e.g 2 house wines , water and 4 dishes $100...All Inclusive option does NOT include either option, only... more

We have just returned from a week at the Kurumathi. The hotel is magnificent, located 2 hrs from the airport and we have never experienced such incredible service before. Maldives was always a fantasy island my wife always dreamt of.We booked kurmathi cottage spa for 4 nights in the Beach villa and last 2 nights in the Water villa. We travelled by... more

Ok here we go, The Island was perfect, great views, the staff were cleaning the path's and roads every day, you will most likely have to sunbath on the sand because there are only a few beach chairs but i prefered the sand so that was fine, you do get the odd german putting there towels on the beech in... more

We had, as independant travellers a stay of 5 days in the Beachbungalows( 222) and 5 in the Waterbungalows(255),both are very comfortable ,clean but a little "faded" with very good service. We were on B and B and I thinck that it is the best option:we enjoyed 4 dinners at the Thai restaurant, had all our lunch at the Seaview coffee... more

Kuramathi is an island of 3 parts - and the Cottages are definitely the best bit; centrally located it's easy to walk to the other areas of the resort but the minibus was welcomed by my 70 year old Mum. The accommodation is a little tired but bearable; it's due for an extensive re-furbishment but obviously this will impact cost.... more

This was the 3rd time we have been to Kuramathi Cottage Club and Spa (lucky us). It is still paradise. Service is great. Spa is lovely. Beach is beautiful. Reef is incredible - we saw a turtle whilst snorkelling! :-) Everything about this place is wonderful, with one tiny exception - the speed boat transfer is long and can be... more

On our 10th anniversary we visited Maldives. We selected this hotel with the reviews of tripadvisor, Truely saying i spent hours on net specially (trip advisor) to select the hotel. I almost checked all reviews and photos of all maldives hotels and at last selected Kuramathi. Its (500 meter long) & 10 feet thin Sand bank at the end of... more

Its always difficult reading reviews here because you don't know what the reviewer is comparing it too. however, I am surprised that there are even a few bad reviews of this place. Some of the facts are just plain wrong. We stayed in a water bungalow (no 271) which is the first of the last group, going towards the blue... more
