The Holiday Inn Express staff in Cortez was extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The room was very nice and the entire hotel was clean and inviting. Even the grounds outside were beautiful with gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area and would highly recommend it to other travelers. more

This is a really nice hotel. Clean, spacious, comfortable and the staff are friendly. Sometimes the staff are too friendly though, as I had cleaning people knock THREE times on my door in the morning - and this was all before 9 o'clock! I realize I should've put the "Do Not Disturb" sign out, but I've never had cleaning people... more

Cortez was busy and the main street torn up with construction. The Best Western had no rooms, so we backtracked to HIE because we'd had a good experience with them in La Junta CO. We were disappointed. The room was relatively expensive at AAA-discounted $136 + tax, but didn't have the now-expected refrig/microwave combo. more

We stayed here will on a 10 motorcycle trip through the area. It was a very friendly place and we decided to stay 2 nights instead of the the 1 we had booked. We had to move rooms, which was no problem, for they moved our luggage while we were away during the day. They really should use some fabric... more

We stop here twice a year on our way to and from Santa Fe,NM. We travel with our small dog. I especially like that the management has a room pet check on check-out day. That helps keep the standards high. Also, there is a great little pub,KoKo's. just across the parking lot with great homemade food and the best margaritas!!!... more
