I stayed at the Clarion during the Essence Music Festival. The room was very large. The beds were very comfortable. They had a full hot buffet on Sat. and Sun. Grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, hot biscuits, waffles, home fries, and plenty of pastries. etc. Free of course. The only qripe I had was that they charge your credit card the whole amount... more

I am always leery of booking rooms online and was concerned with other reviews but I took the plunge and I am so glad that I did. I chose the option for a 3 bed room, which I've never seen before and the room was very spacious and clean. Upon arrival, I was very pleased with the warm reception of... more

We stayed 4 nights here for the Jazz Fest. The rooms were great. Mini fridge and microwave were good for the leftovers we brought home every night. Staff was always nice. The free breakfast on the weekend was much better than any motel ive ever stayed in. They didnt have the variety during the week, but still better than most.... more

Cheap, safe parking is key in New Orleans and some of the hotels in the area charge $20+ per night for parking. The Clarion charges $14 per night in a gated and surveilled lot right next door. The part of town the hotel resides in is slightly shady. It is 2 blocks past N Rampart St which can be sketchy... more

My husband and stayed here during Mardi Gra 2009 and we loved it! The room was a lot larger than we expected. The hotel is older but the room was very clean and had an upgraded bathroom & kitchenette. The price was very reasonable and the breakfast that was included was wonderful, besides the normal continental breakfast they also had... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here on New Years Eve and New Years day. For the price, this was perfect! The hotel was clean. The suite we stayed in averaged to less than $100 a night, was large and had a great view towards Bourbon Street. The bed was very comfortable. The delicious breakfast buffet offered waffles, eggs, sausage, grits,... more

This hotel was adequate for what I was looking for. The price was right and there was ample space for 4 people. The full breakfast included in the price was satisfactory. Outside of the breakfast, this is a pretty no-frills establishment- no pool or room service, but that was fine with me. The location is a little shady, but the... more

Check in is @ 3:00 but we were not able to get into our room until several hours later. When we arrived, the staff was not ready. The front desk manager and the owner lost all respect from us. The front desk manager even made a comment that was totally out of line. He said, "We get what we pay... more

First of all the hotel is in a seedy part of town, second of all I was not given the price quoted to me on priceline. I guess the hotel manager saw fit to increase the nightly rate due to the Essence Festival that was in town and knowingly I could not choose another hotel to stay at. He proceeded... more

The thermostat was at 75 degrees when we checked into the hotel. We lowered it to 60 degrees and an hour later noticed no changes. Maintenance was sent to the room and the gentleman replaced the air filter, checked the thermostat and told us the room should cool off within an hour. We left for about 2 1/2 hours, only... more
