We lucked out on our first trip to NOLA and I don't think we'll stay anywhere else now. The location is perfect, just north of the French Quarter and there's PARKING! Love it and I can't wait to go again.

I rolled in - alone - between Christmas and New Year's and spent the most wonderful, pampered, charmed seven days that one could possibly imagine. Alvin and Ray have been at it for "a while" and they've certainly gotten it right. I requested MY room (No. Three) and it was awaiting my late arrival....temperature just perfect, everything sparkling and spiffy....

I am so glad we discovered this place after many trips to New Orleans often on business to see the major sites/sights, usually staying in those business hotels. This place is such a gem in contrast. After exploring the breadth of what New Orleans has to offer, this is your respite, an oasis of hospitality and comfort. The other reviews...

Stayed in NOGH in April of 2011. A friend and myself were on a road trip and when we hit LA we googled where to stay. By far the best deal mostly because the price of the room also includes parking. If you plan on going to New Orleans keep in mind that you have to pay for parking every...

Stayed here about 10 years ago. My Daughter is going to N.O. next month, and she is planning on staying here. It's nice for the price. The continental breakfast is really nice in the beautiful courtyard. If I remember correctly it's about a 5 block walk to Bourbon Street, but Mapquest it just in case I'm wrong. We walked it...

I happened upon this place on foot. The person who greeted us was friendly even though it was later at night. The garden in the back was beautiful. The staff the next day was as friendly as the night before. Even though I woke up late (beyond breakfast time) both days we were served breakfast with a smile. I would...

The guest house is at the far edge of the Quarter. Walkable for the ambitious. Hosts were gracious and accommodating. The rooms could have used a thorough deep cleaning and paint touch-up. The croissant and fresh fruit breakfast was good and served in a charming courtyard.

This was our second visit to the New Orleans Guest House. We wish we had known about this place years ago. Yes, it is old (the Quarter is old) but we like the charm. I have to wonder how anyone can say you can get better for $100 if you are talking about the French Quarter. In New Orleans, that's...

The staff is super nice, they gave us nice tips for eat in locals places not expensives places. The building is old so you have to know is not a Boutique hotel, but the location is great. The parking is a great complement. In my experience for $100 I get in other places a better nice room, more modern. But...

Pros: very friendly and helpful innkeeper. I think Alvin really cares. Free wifi, Nicely decorated, beautiful courtyard, pretty building, good quality breakfast with fresh bakery qulaity croissants (not sam's club cheap stuff), tropical fruit and juice (mango/papaya/etc), Excellent value price, free secure parking (this is huge close to FQ), funky and traditional bedroom decor all mixed together works well, clean...
