I attended the Essence Festival w/significant other and friends. Most of staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel TOTALLY OUTDATED; needs TOTAL RENOVATION, no iron, broken safe, no restuarant (closed for renovation??), bar was closed, sheets, bedding and carpet were old (need replacing), limited linen (towels) no mini fridge nor microwave. it was decent, the hotel is aged needs renovations, and all sheets carpets and such should be replaced. Staff is friendly. Location is at Cherles street, so heavy bustling of traffic can be heard. Hotel is definitely in need of updating. The room we had was in need of new bedding and some paint. Bedspread had burn holes all the way through. Draperies were separating from backing. Friday night my husband had a cold shower, I tried it Saturday morning, Freezing. Maintenance arrived in 5 mins or less, fixed it as we were leaving for the day.
