We stumbled accross this place on the Internet and I'm amprehensive about telling people about this well kept secret. Picture a 100 year old "Shotgun" (That's what they call it) two-story town house that looks tiny until you walk in. You step into a 2,000 square-ft townhome that is adjacent to the owners 6,000 s.f. home that is literally a museum.
One upstairs bedroom and one down means it works best if you had the place to yourselves or shared it with a couple you know. I don't think I would have enjoyed sharing the place with strangers...even if you can secure your own room. It's actually cheap enough ($75-$100 per night per room) to get the whole place even if you are one couple. Would work great with kids...but leave the little ones at home because it is full of antiques. The owner is a Architecture Professor at the local University who specializes in renovations. His partner is an artist whose work is throughout the home.
