The room was ok. But as soon not had any doors, you can at of noise from the hall ways, I know you are going to get some sound, but it was very loud at times, with people coming in all hours of the night, you hear every word said, doors need to be sound proofed alittle better. I had... more

The best thing about this hotel is it's location, next to Harrah's, across Canal from French Quarter (easy walk, no nightime revelry), near the Riverwalk. That doesn't discount that the hotel itself is quite nice. I'd say it's a good business-class hotel, with reasonable, expected amenities. The room I had was on the smallish side (a "single queen"), but had... more

The location of this hotel makes it quite a steal. ($62/nt when we stayed) You can walk to the French Market or the French Quarter. The staff was excellent! more

I was impressed with my room and the great service I received at the front desk. I found the staff helpful and very pleasant. The location was great with easy walking distances to the French Quarter, other points of interest and great restaurants in the immediate area. Room service was on time and my breakfast arrived hot and ready to... more

Good: Location, location, location Warm welcome at check-in Bad: Maid repeatedly shorted us on towels and only left one coffee pod per day Bed looked comfy but was actually way, way too soft Newspaper at door only once in three days Easy chair does not face the TV No free internet anywhere in the hotel more

My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary in New Orleans and being a Hilton Diamond member, I chose the Doubletree New Orleans. The reason I continue to use Hilton over most other hotel chains is their loyalty program. I don't want any special treatment, just what is promised me as I stay in with the same chain over... more

My check-in was troublesome. Though I had secured a king smoking room with a credit card, I was initially given a nonsmoking room. When I asked whether my room was king smoking, the desk clerk looked surprised that I wanted a smoking room. She looked and informed me that a king smoking wasn't available. I could have one for all... more

When you walk out the front door of this hotel, you are greeted with the Harrah's casino directly across the street. The purpose of my trip was to do some gambling at the casino, so this worked out perfectly, at about 1/4 the price of a room at Harrah's. My room was on the 11th floor. I never had any... more

Rooms are small and bathroom very cramped. The hallway is very noisy. Guest services are non-existant. Asked for a refrigerator for medical purposes twice and never received it. Parking charge was expensive and no bellman to help with luggage. more

We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a "staycation" in our hometown of N.O. and we were very excited to do so.. Upon arriving at the hotel we were checked in quickly and on our way to our room with our Choc Chip cookies. The first night that we were in the room we noticed the sconce light blinking after we... more
