I've travelled a lot, and I'm used to budget accomodations, but this place was unbelievably disgusting. There are so many observations I could make about the unsanitary and unsafe environs, but let me share just one special gem: When I told the front desk clerk that the blanket in my room was crusted with the jiz of a prior guest,... more

Me and about ten of my colleagues stayed here for business and we absolutely love the place.. Very well decorated, and the rooms are very large, not what you would expect from the out side.. When you walk in it takes on a whole new feeling.. You almost feel as if you are back in time, not to mention a... more

I have been to NOLA several times this year and each time stayed at either this Rathbone or Rathbone II. The current owner has lovingly put her time and effort in reviving the Rathbone's historic beauty. She has done a wonderful job and both places are VERY inviting and comfortable. I am looking forward to returning & staying here again!... more

This is a nice place that is a great value! The management staff was really nice and baked fresh muffins the morning we stayed. It is a cute bead and breakfast but you get what you pay for. IF you are looking for a clean bed with nice management then this is the place for you! Esplanade Avenue is just... more

I have been to New Orleans 3 times now within the last few months and have stayed here everytime. LOVE it and this... more

I stayed in the Mardi Gras suite at the Rathbone Inn for 6 nights with 4 friends this Mardi Gras. The room exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. The room was very large, very clean, and nicely decorated. Having a private balcony was a very nice treat! The hotel staff was helpful and courteous. The housekeeper, especially, was extremely... more

I liked NOTHING about the place and especially disliked being taken. it's a fraud if you read the webite and then stay there...what it says online is NOTHING like the reality of the place. It's almost criminal. I wish there was a LESS than one star rating. more

This has to be the most terrible place to stay, short of sleeping under a bridge. The rooms stunk like a wino puked in it, there were dead rats under the bed, as well as infested with huge roaches. The proprietor's cat was crapping all over the patio, all the windows were nailed shut, and the A-C did not work.... more
