W New Orleans - French Quarter is located off Canal St and is a great place to stay if your planning on doing all the touristy things in NOLA. Its an easy walk to Bourbon St. I stayed in a Corner room with a balcony which was nice, except there is a lot of road noise. If you are a... more

We have stayed here twice. The first time we stayed, we got two rooms. One of the rooms was fabulous. It had extra amenities, a beautiful balcony, and it was very clean. The other room was not very pretty, the description said it had a balcony, but it was a balcony shared with a few other rooms, and it lacked... more

Location is great, 2 Blocks off Burbon Street so the noise is greatly reduced. I've stayed a several W's and like the brand, so I thought we'd give this one a try also. The Hotel is wrapped around a courtyard with a pool. We didn't use the pool, which was kind of small, but spent time in the Courtyard, which... more

The location of this hotel cannot be beaten. Within walking distance to everything in or near the French Quarter and the casino, riverwalk. I was upgraded to a room in the "Carriage House" with its own private hot tub, not just a jacuzzi, an 8-person hot tub. Other than this, the room was right on the main courtyard with the... more

Check-in and Check-out: Good experiences, however was surprised on being in the "Welcome Room" waiting to ask a question when I saw drink tickets for Bacco (the restaurant next door) handed to a person who had just checked in for the weekend. We were checked in from Wednesday through Sunday yet were not offered the same. Seemed a little random... more

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past year. It has been hit and miss. The biggest let down is the train, which behaved indifferent during my last visit and was "kind enough" not to charge me for the "Spectacular Room" I had booked. LOCATION The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the action... more

I'll start by saying I'm not a huge fan of W Hotels in general. A little too dark and trendy for me. That said, I've stayed at W Hotels 10-15 times in the past 5 years. The French Quarter property was among the shabbiest I've seen. It is in need of some upgrades asap. The whole place seemed dirty. There... more

We stayed here for 1 night using starpoints. I wish we'd had enough points to stay here for the rets of our trip! Lovely decor, room was really nice with a huge bathroom. Pool area was gorgeous. Found everything in good working order. Service was great. We arrived early as we were transferring from the Holiday Inn Express. They gave... more

First time in NOLA. Traveling with 2 teens and best friend. I was looking for a hotel that had the traditional architecture and look of the French Quarter combined with the contemporary hip upmarket feel of a boutique hotel. Finally settled on the W, somewhat hesitatingly as I was toying with the Ritz (NOT a great location), Monteleone (nope) and... more
