We checked in the hotel late and night and since the check in counter is closed you check in through the Astor next door. The staff here were really friendly and more than happy to point us in the right direction for food etc. The room was I think the bext out of 10 hotels we stayed in durning our... more

My husband took me to New Orleans for a a few days to celebrate my 40th birthday. Seriously drained from the long flight, we arrived at the Alexa Hotel at around 9:00am. We were greeted with a warm smile by Raquel Williams. I expected that we'd have to check our bags and just waste a couple hours walking around, before... more

We just came back from 4 days and 3 nights at the alexa hotel and would recomend it to anyone looking for a reasonable priced room close to everything. Located at Canal and Bourbon st it is right on top of all the action. The only draw back is the same as almost any hotel in the area parking is... more

My Mother as a gift for my sister and I for our January birthdays, paid for our trip to NO and our stay at the Alexa Hotel. The descriptions online of the hotel give it way more justice than it deserves and arriving at the front door of the hotel (which is in a watery, stinky alley way) was a... more

Great , very positive experience with the hotel... delicious room service, friendly faces, tastefully decorated ambient room. Just far away enough from Bourbon so we could get a perfectly peaceful sleep, but just a few steps from all the exciting things that New Orleans has to offer. Highly reccommend the Cinnamon French Toast for breakfaast from Room service... mmm-mmmm!!! We... more

We just got back from a long weekend in NOLA and stayed at the ALexa. This hotel is really the bare bones sister of the adjoining hotel, the Astor. WHen we arrived, Wednesday evening, there were 2 clerks at the desk discussing their dinner orders. They were pleasant, but spent more time talking to each other than taking care of... more

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. The room was small by US standards and although clean the bottom of the bath looked grubby. There was manypeople staying for a convention and the we were worken by people shoulting each night between 2 and 4 am. People were playing ball in the corriders although when told about this security... more

We stay in New Orleans regularly for business and pleasure, so we are familiar with many of the hotels in the city. We stayed at the Alexa in the fall of last year for our first and last time. The staff was extremely unpleasant and rude. They seemed very put out to even speak to use upon check in. Even... more

We stayed for Mardi Gras at the Alexa. The room was large and clean, but it was one of the darkest rooms I ever stayed at, as it faced a small second floor courtyard and neighboring room windows. The desk staff was very pleasant and the cleaning staff were efficient, but did not seem to want to clean the room... more

Everything about the Alexa is first class- the location, renovation, furnishings, desk staff, housecleaning, etc, etc. The French Quarter location on Royal Street is convenient to everything. Shared amenities with Astor is a big plus. You won't go wrong staying at the Alexa. more
