I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in New Orleans. I have normally had good luck at Crowne Plazas for having good quality for the money. I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton but the CP was purely a stop over for the night on a road trip. I was really disappointed and wish I would have spent a little... more

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. We are certainly dissappointed to learn of your experience. The hotel just recently completed an $11M renovation and our product and service scores have sky-rocketed since January 2009, which are derived from our guests surveys. It was unfortunate you did not experience our high level of commitment to the guest experience....

the hotel is beautiful, right around the corner from Bourbon street. a couple of bumps, there was a few items in the room (hair dryer, iron, telephone between beds) did not work. they replaced them all except the phone (another one is in the room) promptly. otherwise, it was a lovely experience, the staff was great, housekeepers were nice and... more

The hotel is lovely, it has an old world charm when you walk in, service was top notch at the front desk and we were well taken care of as Priority members. I was using points for the stay and we got to have full use of the Club Lounge with Breakfast in the morning (french toast, oatmeal, breads, bagels,... more

Thank you taking the time to pen your thoughts on our hotel. We were delighted to hear you were pleased with our hotel and our outstanding staff. We will be adding flat screen TV's to our hotel beginning the 1st quarter on 2010. Please know we are concerned about your comments regarding our restaurant partner, the Bourbon House. We shall...

Unless you are in New Orleans to party hearty and stay up all nite, this not the hotel to stay in. Being so close to Burbon Street (there is an exit right on to Burbon from the hotel), it tends to attract college age/hearty partiers, who come back to the hotel very early morning, intoxicated and LOUD! Every nite starting... more

The location was great near by bourbon street, the shopping plaza and the casino. The bell boys were extremely nice and helpful. Didn't have any problems with the AC. Was bothered that the covers over had a stain on it... Felt that they could have done a better job with the cleaning. Even the towels looked slightly yellowish. If I... more

I spent 3 nights for this stay. The downstairs is fairly nice looking, you get the impression that your room will be nice. The rooms are just average, no refrigerator, no microwave, the water pressure in the shower is up and down. You cannot cool the room to where you want it. The first night I had such a terrible... more

We originally booked 3 nights, but stayed an extra night during the Southern Decadence Festival on Labor Day weekend. When we arrived, the bellhop was extremely helpfull with our bags. He made a friendly joke asking if we were moving in. After reserving the room I called the hotel to request a king bed. At the Check In Desk, I... more

My husband and I stayed here Sept. 17-20, 2009. I thought it was a great hotel. Every single staff member I came into contact with was very polite and helpful. The location is awesome! Right at the edge of the French Quarter. It's within easy walking distance of everything in the quarter, as well as Harrah's and the river area.... more

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel: fine customer service, good complimentary breakfast for priority club members, reasonable rates, decent rooms. The location is good and within 20 min walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. Use the carpark by Premiumparking on Iberville St. for a $20/day rate. The only negative things are all very minor: the bathtub should be... more

I stayed at the Astor from June 27th - July 1st (4 nights) for a conference. The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. Service was superb. Everything worked (AC, water, etc...) Room service was fairly priced. The location is priceless...you are literally on the corner of Bourbon and Canal Street. You cannot beat it!!! There is even an outdoor pool... more
