I love this place. It's a warm cozy inn where the innkeepers care for and enjoy their guests. The rooms are clean and homey. Leigh and Jim obviously try to think up anything you might need. They feed you breakfast. The location is fabulous. Frenchman Street is right there. It's going to be fun going back next year. Shoutout to... more

We stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast for 4 days in April. The inkeepers were friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. We could not have asked for more. more

New Orleans is open for business, y'all, and I exhort you to make the trip to the Crescent City, and to make the superlative Elysian Fields Inn your NOLA home-away-from-home. Hosts Leigh and Jim Crawford embody Southern hospitality--staying with them felt more like a friendly visit to a friends' warm and welcoming home than an impersonal and anonymous hotel stay.... more

This is a hidden jewel, just five blocks from the quarter and only two blocks from great resturants and music. Jim and Leigh have a created the home feel that makes it hard to leave. The rooms are clean and lovely. Leigh was full of honest and knowledgeable recommendations for music and food, when we decided to cancel our reservations... more

We arrived late, about 11 pm, on Tuesday night, and were warmly greeted by Jim and Leigh. The next morning, over a delicious breakfast of Jim's french toast, we planned our one day in New Orleans. Leigh was full of good information and suggestions, complete with maps. We spent the day touring the French Quarter then came back to the... more

The reason to stay at a b&b is to have a personal experience you wouldn't get in a hotel--that's exactly what you get at Elysian Fields. I recommend it highly. The owners, Jim and Leigh, were genuine, friendly, helpful--they stayed up to welcome us even though we arrived at 11pm! Great food, comfortable, clean room, helpful advice on tours and... more

My wife and I stayed at the Elysian Fields Inn for our 10 year anniversary and we could not have picked a better place. It was a few blocks off the Quarter (about 10 min or so) and had safe routes to walk. We NEVER felt unsafe (day or night) going to the Quarter. The rooms were very nicely decorated... more

We LOVED our stay here. Big, very clean rooms. Great neighborhood - easy walk to some of the best bars and restaurants in the Big Easy. Although its easily within walking distance to the French Quarter, this is a much better neighborhood to stay in. Can't wait to go back! -Patrick anf Robyn - NYC more

What a FABULOUS vacation!! Jim and Leigh (and Zeke!) are the most gracious hosts. They recommended the best places to go for fun and great food. The Inn itself is comfortable and warm. A great porch for sipping wine and conversation. Quiet rooms. A large gathering Great Room for playing cards, reading the paper, and having the most scrumpious breakfasts... more
