We picked this place with another couple to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary based on the quaint description on the website. We should have read some of the reviews here first. We too experienced very poor customer service from the guy checking us in. We asked about the advertised free parking. He said it was a few blocks away... More

This hotel is charming . . . some of the clerks, not so much. Our room was super small and you have to be a giant to reach the thermostat. But it is a good location and the one clerk working 1-30-12 was super helpful and kind. As for our haunted experience ... you be the judge: We stayed in... More

This hotel had a charming courtyard and that is where it ended for me. We arrived late and were given a tiny cramped room with two beds and no window save the one in the bathroom, which had a disgusting bathtub that leaked. It was noisy and smelly but it was too late to go anywhere else. The breakfast consisted... More

We made our reservation for New Years in May of last year. When we arrived on Dec 30th, we were told our room had a problem and they moved us to St. Pierre - their sister property. This hotel is a dump and the manager has NO people skills. Our room had stained bedspreads and one small window at the... More

We were was looking for a convenient place to stay in the French Quarter for my weekend activities. We were coming the the city for a weekend of parties and football games. The hotel, while not the nicest, was located where I needed. I decided to give it a shot. I made my reservations three months in advance and called... More

I cancelled my reservation 60 days prior to staying at this hotel and was told I still had to pay for it. They absolutely refused to allow me to change dates. After numerous attemps to speak to a manager, I contatcted the Better Business Bureau. Their manager replied to them and stated that I never called and that it clearly... More

The Andrew Jackson Hotel is located on Royal Street, far enough from the Bourbon Street madness but close enough to all the rest of the fun things to do in the French Quarter. We had a room just off the reception area - the window in the room is right on the sidewalk, so when tour groups stop out in... More

The hotel is old and quaint. Rooms are extremely basic. The location is excellent for French Quarter activities and has an chic courtyard restaurant, Cafe Amelie, across the street. I did not believe in hauntings until I stayed here! They have a history of "friendly" hauntings, but I did not expect to experience anything. However, two nights in a row,... More

I reserved a room with twin beds through a travel deal website. I selected it based on photos and reviews on the site and the Andrew Jackson website. I confirmed the room shortly after buying the deal and again a few days before my departure. They were very friendly and courteous. The exterior was charming and the hotel's location was... More

My friend chose this site because she wanted to stay next door at the Cornstalk & she couldn’t. The Andrew Jackson was as close as she could come to her goal of staying in a haunted hotel in NOLA. There wasn’t anything truly GOOD about the place: bugs, stains, scary location at night, sticky carpet, icky tub, stuff stuck to... More
