We stayed four nights at the Oaks in December, celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Our room was lovely; clean, high ceilings, charming, fireplace. We liked it alot. The staff was helpful with touring suggestions. We had no difficulty walking a block to catch the streetcar. Great place for lunch or breakfast down the street: Blue Plate Cafe. Only two complaints:... More

I was in NOLA for work, staying in the loud, busting French Quarter. My first trip so I decided to stay on through the weekend and booked the Pyrtania Oaks based on Tripadvisor reviews. I am so glad I did. You wouldn't know what was in store when checking in around the corner- the Pyrtania/Terpsichore area is a bit run-down... More

Stay here for a remarkable experience in NOLA. Great area for the beauty and serenity of NOLA but not too far from all the action of the French Quarter. 1 block from the St. Charles Streetcar. They offer beautifully appointed rooms, 12' ceilings, incredibly comfortable beds, luxurious linens, the quiet and peacefulness needed after a long day out. Super friendly... More

Let me be frank: I am the second person in the party of VoyageurAylmer whose review was published a few weeks ago. I will not come back on what he wrote but will write my own review. We stayed at the Prytania Oaks for 2 nights in December (24th, 25th). I have nothing bad to say about the physical hotel/room.... More

We had pretty much decided we were not going to stay here again but after the last 24 hours, we definitely are not. The last night we were there, one of my pillows fell to the floor. When I bent down to get it, I glanced under the bed, it had fur balls everywhere under the bed. Our room had... More

I am insulted that he suggests that I do not take responsibility .As GM, I take full responsibility for any and all issues. Otherwise, I would have laughed it off and not bothered in handling the complaint as a petty nuisance looking to get a room rate adjustment. That is not how I conduct business. I handle each issue individually... More

We were looking forward to this stay as this was our first Christmas in the US. Three months in advance, after reading all the good reviews about this hotel, we booked a room through a hotel reservation website. What a disappointment! Upon check-in, the clerk told us that our room would be in Prytania PARK (a sister hotel with smaller... More

This guest booked through an 3rd party travel agent through an OTA (online travel agent), who we have never heard of, and it was based in Canada, They did not book directly from our web site, or this mistake would not have happened, as we have 2 very distinctively different web sites. We showed them on the lobby computer the... More

We found this hotel on Trip Advisor. It already had good ratings. The rooms are like new. New bathroom and furnishings. Very clean. The rooms are a little small but plenty big enough for two people. It is very close to St. Charles street where you find very good small resturants and the street car that takes you downtown to... More

I just got back from my first trip to New Orleans a few days ago and have been chomping at the bit to write this review of the beautiful and charming Prytania Oaks Hotel. Not to sound like a broken record (since everyone seems to use this word to describe the place), but what a GEM! Seriously... it is beautiful... More

We stayed here on our first night in New Orleans. Check in was at the other hotel two blocks away where we received a super friendly greeting from reception. Our room was on the upper level and had everything you need: nice flat screen, fridge, desk, microwave, kettle, free wifi (take note Hyatt Lost Pines!), decent sized bathroom (no bath... More

This place is a gem. Economical and a very nice New Orleans feel. It's in an old house in an old neighborhood. The room was small but very neat and clean. Decorated very nicely. It was within walking distance to several restaurants and bars and a street car line. If you want something that is not the typical hotel feel,... More
