The Room smelled like fried fish coming from the store downstairs the entire time we were there. This place double charged my debit card and it took 2 months to get that sorted out with my Bank. The "Manager" was never there when I called to try and clear up the issue. Do not stay here. more

This small hotel in the French Quarter is a nice kept secret. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The minimalist design felt cozy in this old restored FQ building that has all the charm of New Orleans’ architecture (wrought-iron balconies, gas lamps, high ceilings, hardwood floors, exposed brick and outside courtyard). The hotel is very conveniently located. It is close... more

I have been staying at this hotel for 27 years, ever since it was the Noble Arms Inn. The location is perfect and quiet. You will have to carry your luggage up and down small staircases. And yes, there are always cockroaches in the summer (to be fair almost all MSY hotels have them). My complaint is that the staff... more

If you're booking here, bring your SCUBA gear folks because this is the biggest dive in town! I've used Tripadvisor for years and have never written reviews. This place has prompted me to do so. This place is disgusting. If you're cool with paying $175 a night to stay in a homeless shelter, then good on you, this is the... more

We were in Orleans for out 10 year wedding anniversary over Memorial weekend. From looking at the pictures we were very excited about the hotel but of course didn't pay attention to the reviews. It looked very modern, trendy and clean! Well, to our surprise NOT! I really don't know where to start from. We had a smoke-free deluxe queen... more

I booked 2 rooms and they charged two night deposit which is fine. The guy said he would e-mail me the comf. and cancellation policy which I never received. I called back within the hour and cancelled rooms because my husband found out he could not get off of work. They told me I would be refunded in 10 days!... more

First and foremost, once a credit card transaction is processed it is not completed until being batched out. This step is usually done the following business day. Once this is done and a refund is applied it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 business days for a credit card issuer to apply funding to that account. Our refund policy is...

I booked a room at the Hotel Royal for my nephew and his fiance for Jazz Fest. It was all you would hope for and more from an "inn" on this beautiful street in this romantic city. They felt like they were in Europe! I visited the room before we went out to dinner and was most impressed. Auntie more

There's a reason over 50% of the reviewers for this place rated it a 1 out of a 5 and that it's ranked near the bottom of New Orleans hotels in terms of popularity: it's a dump. I think at one time it might have been okay, but the West Elm furnishings are now all beaten up & the paint... more

To Whom It May Concern: The room in question that these hotel guests occupied is one of our Master Suites. A Master Suite has a king sized bed and the occupancy in these rooms should not exceed 2 guests. On the date of the bed breaking, these guests had 5 people sitting in the bed during preperation for a night...

Me and sister took our first trip to New Orleans with our mom to meet up with some friends. We stayed at the Hotel Royal and I must say it was far from "Royal" The king suite had boarded up windows and one lamp making the room dark all the time, the bedspread had cigarette burns and on the 5th... more

I was in New Orleans on business and decided to try the Hotel Royal based on what I saw on the web page. Horrified by what I found. The lobby was dirty and the court yard that was supposed to be a nice place to relax was where the dumpster was located. The smell was not that of magnolia. The... more
