The rooms are currently very spartan. Inadequate lighting and mirrors, unpredictable water, ugly. Not enough towels, towel bars or supplies. Ridiculously loud HVAC system. In the crazy area around Bourbon Street, the Chateau Bourbon provides some relief and sanctuary. While there was nothing special about the hotel, it served its function well and provided a good base to explore. Renovations were underway during January so there were numerous interruptions.
