I stayed in this hotel with a large group of people from all over the world, for a week of meetings, and we had a difficult experience due to the extensive construction work going on. We actually felt we should have been given hard hats, as our rooms became more and more inaccessible as the week went by and as... More

I would like to apologize about all the challenges you had while staying with us during your conference. Our hotel is undergoing a full renovation that will be completed May 2012. The hotel will be fully functioning during the entire renovation process and will not be closed. The renovation is looking great so far. You can see pictures of what... More

the location could not be better. half a block from bourbon st and a block off canal street. so everything right to hand , but without the craziness. the biggest non suite bedroom i have seen, and with a huge comfortable bed, great workdesk and chair, plus a sofa and sitting area. outlook to quiet courtyard as requested. decent free... We spent 3 nights at this hotel and loved it. It is on Bourbon St and within an easy walk of all the famous bars and restaurants. The rooms are large and have balconies. Would recommend an interior room or room on the side opposite Bourbon St, as it can get very noisy on Bourbon at night. The hotel has... More

The rooms are currently very spartan. Inadequate lighting and mirrors, unpredictable water, ugly. Not enough towels, towel bars or supplies. Ridiculously loud HVAC system. The shared facilities are even worse. No exercise facility, pool, restaurant, gift shop, or vending machines. Loud noises emanating from the unfinished courtyard, bad views, and balconies shared with strangers who used it as an ashtray.... More

I was referred by a friend to stay at this hotel, at the time of the booking I was not told about the construction that would be going on. This was a disappointment, I booked the room months before my trip and asked for balcony. When I arrived I did get the balony room but found the balcony was closed... More

In the crazy area around Bourbon Street, the Chateau Bourbon provides some relief and sanctuary. While there was nothing special about the hotel, it served its function well and provided a good base to explore. Renovations were underway during January so there were numerous interruptions. But one hopes the end result will make it all worthwhile. More

The room service staff was lovely but that was the only good thing about the hotel. Perhaps when the renovation is done it will improve, I probably would not give it another try. Water was turned off, phone in the room did not work and half of the outlets did not either. The room was huge but very hot. The... More

Do not go to this hotel for at least the next 6 to 9 months. It is under full reconstruction in almost all areas. Water outages for 7 to 8 hours per day as they rebuilb piping. (That's right no flushing toilets during this time). Power saws and hammering beginning at 7AM. Paint fumes throuhgout the hotel and in your... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for the December 31st weekend. Construction waking you up in the morning (we were never told that they were undergoing construction and renovations when reservations were made). They charge you $3.00 for the use of the safe, and $9.99 for internet connection. These charges were waived for me since I join their... More

Yet another hotel in New Orleans that not only had amazing customer service but was more than happy to let me check in a lot earlier than the advertised time. Good start. It was however another hotel which was undergoing serious rennovation. It's fair to say that there were noises and disruptions from about 8am but I didn't really let... More
