So I really wanted to stay at the Roosevelt, BUT Le Pavillon offered pricing, location and amenities that I just could not resist. And what a deal it turned out to be. I stayed on the "haunted" floor (no ghosts for me but that happened at Disney World too so I think it is my karma). The bed was wonderful,... more

Have just checked in and the overall entry experience is poor. Sloppy area around checkin desk and room quality is low. Room is small, not modern amenities for plugs, etc. Furniture layout is cramped and the bed and bedding are very old and overdone with drapery, etc. I'm sure the service will be great, based on other reviews, but even... more

I like to consider myself a pretty experienced traveller and like to stay at mid range to higher end properties. This was my third trip to New Orleans and I decided to avoid the corporate hotels and go somewhere classic, somewhere that would really live up to the historical atmosphere that pervades New Orleans. After seeing the high reviews here,... more

My husband, older son, son's girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. I had wanted to stay at a "Haunted" hotel. The exterior of the hotel is impressive, the columns and detail are amazing. The lobby and crystal ballroom are also gorgeous and the staff was very friendly. The hotel bar is expensive, it... more

This was my third visit to NO and this was certainly my best hotel experience in the city. If you want a chilly and characterless modern hotel wasteland - go somewhere else. This place is a delight. The staff are delightful and maximally helpful. Location - I walked everywhere including Congress Centre, French quarter, Superdome for a football game and... more

The hotel and staff could not have been better. The decor was absolutely beautiful. I think that the location was perfect; far enough away not to be bothered by French Quarter late night action, but close enough to walk or hop on the streetcar (there is a stop very close to the hotel). more

18 Oct 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I traveled across country with a good friend of mine back in the mid-1990's and we stopped off for 4 days in N.O and stayed in this fine hotel. VERY old South and stylish...I felt like I was stepping into some movie set...all sorts of fine French styled furnishings and the staff was, of course, polite and helpful beyond belief.... more

The hotel is old. It has updated but you can still tell that it is old. When we arrived we were greeted by the valet and the doorman who helped us out of the car and loaded our luggage to a cart. The check-in process was speedy and I was really happy that even though I reserved through a "discount"... more

My husband and I stayed in mid-October for our first visit to New Orleans. Here’s an overview of our experience: Room We stayed in a standard room with a queen bed. The room was comfortable and clean upon arrival. The decor was a mix of French and Southern, the furniture was in good shape. Regarding noise - I don't think... more

Our stay was truly an enjoyable one. This was our second visit to the hotel, and if possible, more enjoyable than the first. The entire staff from the door person, to receptionist, to the dining room waiter were all very gracious and helpful. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and decorated in period antiques. Don't miss the breakfast buffett; it's... more
