This hotel was very different and quaint, but if you cannot climb stairs - don't book this place. The registration/front desk is up a long staircase. No other way to get there. We appreciate your honesty and would love to have you again. Please note that you can request a first floor room upon making a reservation. This is an old house so to install a modern day elevator would take away from its historic value. Thanks again for staying and we hope to see you soon!
I love funky old hotels. I enjoy the wooden floors, high ceilings and antique furniture. It was great being in a room off a courtyard pool. I don't need my bed turned down or chocolates on my pillow. This guest informed the front desk staff of their wonderful stay at check out. In addition to having a wonderful stay, at check out, they thought there bill would be lower than what was signed to. Here's the thing: I'm a NOLA afficionado, and there's much I appreciate about Lamothe for its authenticity. Someone called it "faded elegance," and I love that romantic quality of the hotel.
