We were looking for an atmospheric hotel and a good deal. We found both with Hotel Provincial. A positively gorgeous hotel, helpful staff, and a decent and clean room. The location was perfect, so close to the French Market, mere blocks from the Blacksmith Shop. Incidentally, if anyone staying in room 107 found 2 sd cards in a ziploc bag,... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Provincial for 2 nights. The hotel complex includes 5 buildings and is within walking distance to just about anything in the French Quarter, which was great. That said, we were very disappointed in the room. We paid for a premium room, which we were told meant that our window would face the courtyard... more

Can't say enough good things about the Provincial-- great location, close enough to be in action, but quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Our room was by the front courtyard, allowing easy access to the front desk-- who were more than helpful with food and sightseeing recommendations! The free coffee, tea, and contential breakfast was a lovely perk,... more

Booked this through Last minute.com . If you do it this way you get free valet parking ( saving you $30 ) as well as really good nightly rates. We originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying 3 days. Beautiful old style hotel with veranda overlooking outdoor pool in courtyard. Pure luxury ! In middle of French Quarter so... more

Yes,its true.Very haunted. We stayed in the outer building.I asked to be located in the less haunted section, but apparently got the opposite.Turns out it's on the ghost tours, and for good reason.Lots of dense energy, probably due to the fact that it was a civil war hospital.Lots of electrical phenomema.Tricks with the water, etc. If you are entertained by this, its worth the stay. Other than... more

Booked this hotel due to the fact we couldn't get rooms in the place we normally stay. The hotel is close enough but far enough away from the bars on Bourbon Street. Cafe DuMonde is three blocks away. The service and the rooms were excellent. Needless to say we will not be going back to the other hotel as the... more

This is a great little-known hotel just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and from the Mississippi. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the staff were always ready to help or give advice. The several little courtyards were possibly just in need of some tidying up but thats the only complaint. Considering its so close to the action,... more

We have stayed at 10-12 different hotels in NO over the years. This one was a good choice. Near Jackson Sq. and Bourbon St., but a couple of blocks away-therefore pretty quiet. The parking is convenient ( a big deal in French 1/4) and free since we booked on the Net (Travelocity ?) Room was roomy, although a bit dated-hey,... more

My stay at the Provincial was very pleasant. My room was spacious and comfortable, the surrounding courtyards are tranquil and an oasis away from the busy french quarter, yet you are still in a very central location. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. more
