Vista Rio is a great place to hang out, eat, and drink- even if you're not staying in one of their rooms. The owners are super nice and the staff is great. Also, the food specials are always worth checking out as they cook some amazing Cajun and other great American food!

The Hotel Vista Rio is in a great location - easy walk from the bus and collectivos and launchas. And even the public playground so close was a big hit with our kids. River view rooms will baffle some of the jake brake and disco noise. I just use a fan... and it keeps the mosquitoes off too. I went for the new back wing at $12 but a prison cell would have been more homely. The traffic noise from the bridge is loud and through the night. Nice restaurant and friendly owner. The clientele in the better rooms are the yachties who tie up their boats in the garden

Stayed 3 nights here in river facing private room with bathroom. Close to bus station and clean and comfortable. Nice bar with very nice food if you choose the dish of the day. We stumbled across this place on the way to the river. Its a great option whilst staying in Rio Dulce. Very friendly and informative staff. You can enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon breeze with great views of the river.

I'm on a sailboat on the Vista Rio dock and I highly recommend this small resort.The hosts J and J have gone above and beyond to help us find reliable experts for various repairs to the boat.The food is excellent and the setting couldn't be nicer.Waterfront rooms,breathtaking view.Super fun place!
