We stayed here for only one night after our visit to Tikal. It is situated on the picturesque, quaint little island on Lake Peten Itza. This hotel is in a great location in Flores. We had a second floor room with a view of Lake Peten Itza which has the most gorgeous sunset I've ever seen. The room was clean, had great air conditioning and a television with a lot of stations. This hotel met all of our basic needs. The only drawback I can... more

This was my second trip to the Peten region of Guatemala, and the second time for me to stay at the Hotel Santana. The staff has little to no functional English skills, but are still very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant also serves a decent breakfast, although next door at the Hotel Peten, the breakfast is better (especially the plantanos).... more
