After traveling across Wyoming, we got to Custer and decided to check rates at this Comfort Inn, (I stayed here 2yrs ago, so I knew it was a nice place) The Front Desk guy gave us a room facing the back so we could wach the wild life come down out of the hills at dusk.. Asked the guy at... more

We stayed at the Comfort Inn at the beginning of August and were glad to book in as many hotels in the area were full for the period even when we first enquired in March - we'd picked the weekend when the annual Sturgis bike meeting was on. We stayed for 2 nights, using it as a base to visit... more

We have four kids aged 4-10. We spent 4 nights here in a family suite that has 2 Q beds and a Q pull-out couch. The room was spacious and clean. On the third night, we bought our dinner at the groc. store and cooked in the microwave. There's also a fridge and little sink, plus a table and 2... more

There are cheaper places to stay in the Mt. Rushmore area, especially in crowded Keystone, but a slight step up in price gets you a lot more at this motel. Rooms are very large and more tasteful than usual in a chain motel. I read some of the previous reviewers' complaints, but for us, everything was clean, comfortable, and quiet.... more

Our family included 3 teens and 2 adults. Stayed in the suite that had 2 queen beds and 1 queen pull-out couch. Room was very comfortable and so were the beds and pillows. It was a longer room then you usually find when you stay in a standard hotel room. Included a 'small livingroom' where the couch was. Included small... more

I waited like the previous reviewer to submit. Our experience was so terrible, I wanted to just forget it, have finally mustered the energy to write about it. We attempted to check in about 1430, were told check in didn´t start for another half hour. We ended up leaving and coming back three different occasions before we actually got a... more

Hello: I have been meaning to do this for the past 7 months! So here is my story: I physically went into the motel on 7/29 to make a reservation for the next night. I was unhappy with a campground that we were already staying at. The man at the desk was very nice. I specifically asked for a NON... more

Our stay at the Custer Comfort Inn & Suites was very pleasant. The room was huge and very clean. The desk person was friendly and helpful and recommended a good restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again. more

Stayed here for 4 days on a recent trip. Clean & friendly, we booked for 2 days and extended to 4. Lots to see in the area (Jewel Cave, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park). Only snag was that we had the room next to the laundromat. No problem for the first 2 nights, people used the laundry in the early... more

Comfort Inn – Custer, SD “Nice & Standard” We stayed at the Comfort Inn, Custer while visiting Mt Rushmore & Crazy Horse. It was a pretty clean hotel. Seems like a young staff is running it. Check in was smooth. Hotel provides maps of the area. Breakfast was the standard – apples, oranges, toast, cereals, pastries, no real protein items,... more
