Hotel in good location, with excellent staff, who were let down and poorly treated by owner. Poor facilities for children and not child friendly. Arrogance and attitude of owner / manager Herr Thomas effectively ruined our stay. Would not meet to discuss our concerns / complaints, and provided no support to one injured member of our group. more

We had an interesting experience at the Alpen Hotel. First of all all bar, restaraunt staff were brilliant. Unfortunately the managger's sense of humour lacked deeply. Stayed at the Alpenhotel for a week in August. Staff and owners made us very welcome and were very friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious - we had a room with a balcony which looked onto the main street in Saalbach.
