We stayed at Sporthotel Ellamau in Hinterglemm in February. Hinterglemm itself is part of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski circus and a much underrated resort. It has one of the most modern lift systems in europe, alpine charm and an easy 1 hour 30 mins from Salzburg! The sporthotel ellmau is a little out of the way and about a 10min walk... more

I stayed at the Sport Hotel in January with my husband and a couple of friends. Unfortunately the skiing wasn't great due to the bad snow during time we were there but to be honest I'm not a great skier anyway so it was fine by me. Sport Hotel Ellmau - we loved it! The room - old, dated, smaller then others. Comfortable, we were told the room we had will be updated in 2 years. Staff - they were very helpful/friendly Pool/Sauna - one of the best, could easily spend allot of time there. Bar - a small bar area with such a huge lounge area.... more
