I stayed at Eggerhof in beautiful Saalbach for a few days of skiing.

Short summary: Nice hotel with sauna and spa, direct access to ski slope (40 meters away); keep away from the owners and you have a great time there

Pros: well-assorted breakfast buffet, delicious menu in the evening, rooms are big, cosy and clean; spa including 2 saunas, outside pool, infrared, steam bath; the skiing area around is great; all for approx. 60 EUR per night

Cons: literally everybody I talked to was puzzled by the attitutde of the owners, apparently a married couple. They wouldn't give you the impression of being welcome there, they rather made you feel bad about how much money they have to invest to keep the hotel up and running. more
