Der Sonnberg at 57 Sonnbergstrasse is a modern restaurant set up a long widing hill overlooking the town with excellent views. The food is exquisite and reasonably priced. Friendly service by multi-lingual staff. Well worth the drive up the hill! more
We've just came back a second time from the hotel Sonnberg, and again it was excellent, not only the food, who is so good, fine, gastronomic, very good value for money, the room was very big, with a nice view over the lake of Zell Am See. Der Sonnberg is located on a hill overlooking Zell am See -- about 5 mns driving from the town center. It's walkable, but pretty steep coming back, so a car is definitely a good idea. Taxis are pricey, even for short rides. Zell is a wonderful town in a spectacular place, but very well known: it can get really busy... more
