We have just returned from a Travelsphere holiday to Hotel Simmervert in Niederau. Apart from a 15 hour delay at the airport, we had a wonderful time. Would thoroughly recommend the Simmerlwirt. One of the best positions in the village of Niederau for ski school meeting place, nursery slopes, gondola, ski hire shop, and village centre. We had a huge room for the 3 of us (me, husband and teenage son) - Austrian beds enormous! Equally huge bathroom. Fantastic views of slopes from our room and balcony.... more

We went to the Simmelwirt in Niederau, Austria, in 2002. It is a small alpine skiing village with lots of rustic charm, plenty of snow (on one of the higher peaks), sunshine, no crime and an excellent and patient ski school for both adults and kids.
