We have just returned from our first skiing holiday, staying at the Bergwelt in Obergurgl. Not knowing what to expect (from skiing or the hotel) we have had a fantastic time. Stayed for a week in March and had a basic room which was clean and very comfortable with a TV with English channels and a balcony. Just returned from a 5 night stay at The Bergwelt. We booked direct with the hotel last August and were disappointed to discover our room was one of the smaller junior suites which had a dark claustrophobic feel to it, in addition to a small bathroom and not the best view in the world. Hotel Bergwelt is nearly direct on the ski piste. The whole staff is very friendly and prepared to help you wherever and whenever. And for the days you cannot (or won't) sky the hotel has a perfect relax area with sauna's, steamcabins, massage (extra costs) and relaxing chairs and beds.
