The Waldheim is excellently located for the Glaiskogel (?) lift, a mere 2 mins walk. Very good value b&b. Breakfast was simple but ok. The rooms are good with good powerful hot showers. First time in Solden and would return. The snow was good with plenty of km's to cover on the piste. Not a massive amount of nightlife but you can find it if required.

We stayed for one week over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, well heated with a good shower. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We stayed in this b&b twice, both time on a late season half price package with Neilson's and loved it. Solden is fabulous location for late season skiing as it generates it's own microclimate due to 2 large glaciers, so the snow stays in top condition even when it's all slush in Obergurgl 20 min away. Good hotel, breakfast was fine and the room clean and pleasant. The resort is superb however towards the end of the season when the lift at this end of the town closes it is quite a way to get down to the main town and lifts. Just returned from a fabulous week in Soelden. We stayed the Pension Waldheim on a bed and breakfast basis, booked through Neilson Ski Hols. The price was very much lower than any other deals we could find for the resort so we were expecting a compromise on standard of accomodation and location. Stayed here 28th January 2012 for a week. Very recently renovated, to a very high standard and was well over my expectations. Location It is 150 metres from the main Gaislachkogl lift and easy in ski boots. It is about 10-15 minutes walk down the road to get to the main strip of bars but this is no problem without... More

8 of us stayed here in January 2012 and were really happy with the service. Even with 3 to a room we were comfortable - everything was clean, convenient and the staff were lovely. The lift is only a couple of minutes' walk away - so no problem, even carrying skis etc. It's a bit of a wander into town... More
